Michael Jackson Burial at Forest Lawn

MJ casket Forest LawnFinally, Michael Jackson is laid to rest.

I read reports this morning that people felt cheated because the only part of the ceremony the public was privy to was arrival of the celebrity guests. The Jackson’s were more than gracious to allow us into their private moment of mourning. After all, this was FINAL. Katherine Jackson was reported to have entered the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Glendale but she had to walk back out because her grief was too strong. My heart breaks for her. It’s difficult to bury a child.

Kate-Joe Glady’s Knight sang the song, “His Eye is on the Sparrow.”

Elizabeth Taylor, Chris Tucker, MacCauley Culkin, Quincy Jones, and several other noted celebrity friends were all present. Lisa Marie Presley reportedly became very emotional when Michael’s casket was brought in.

I myself became emotional when Prince, Paris and Blanket placed the crown on top of the casket. It’s obvious Michael’s children are adjusting to the devastating loss of their father.

The decision to make Forest Lawn’s Great Mausoleum Michael’s final resting place, right next to Walt Disney, among other notable celebs, was the perfect decision because security there is extremely tight.

Perhaps now. Michael will be given the peace he was not given during his life.

  • Jou wrote beautifull about Michael and his family.
Thank you, most of the time there is also said something ugly. I also hope he now found his rest and his children and family can try to go one with their lives. I miss him so much, so how hard is it for his loved ones!

  • Thank God this man has finally been laid to rest. It’s sad that his family members, some of them, seem to want to make money from his passing. I think he was close to Jermaine but he and Papa Joe seem to be all about the money. It’s still hard to imagine Michael Jackson is really dead.

  • I’m looking forward to This is It. I bought my tickets as soon as it was announced. Are you going to blog about it? Hope so.
